Chalkwaves Ohio is an Ohio standards-based version
of the popular digital media-on-demand content library. It is a hard drive-based
solution that streams video directly into the classroom from its own hard
drive attached to a school’s network.
The full K-12 collection contains more than 1,300 outstanding video titles.
Each video is divided or “chunked” into a total of 11,000 two-
to eight-minute clips for easy integration into lesson plans. Custom video
clips can also be created with only a few clicks of the mouse, so teachers
can use only what they need.
Chalkwaves Ohio is available to schools for an annual licensing fee of
$1.25 per student, plus a one-time cost of $275 to $425 depending on drive
configuration for the content library on a USB, Firewire, or NAS hard drive.
Yearly license renewals are only 95¢ per student.
